About Us
The Unique Spool has been a fabric and pattern mail order company since 1990. Owned by Roberta Dent, the early focus for our company was unique African fabrics and patterns, including the beautiful designs of Beginnings and handmade mud cloth from Mali. In 1998, we diversified to include fabrics from the Pacific Rim. In the year 2005, we added Native American and Guatemalan prints as well as polar fleece and offered a Bali Batik Bundle club. For 2006, we relocated from California to wonderful Idaho and added more patterns, more fabric and more jewelry.

Our Hours of Operation
We are open for from 9am to 5pm MST, Monday - Friday. In addition to our web site, we welcome appointments for customers wishing to visit our showroom (by appointment only).

Return Policy
Customer service is very important to us. We welcome exchanges. Cash & Credit refunds are available within 30 days of purchase.

Shipping & Ordering
In general, we ship within seven working days for credit card & money order shipments. Please note that this may be slightly longer when we are at trade snows. Check orders are shipped once the check has cleared the bank. If we are out of an item or short of yardage, we will try to contact you prior to shipment. This, we hope, eliminates those horrible surprises when your package arrives without some of the items. We will never ship less yardage than ordered without prior approval from you.

Credit Cards
We currently accept Discover, MC, VISA & AMEX. We do not charge your purchases to your credit card until the items are cut and packaged, ready for shipment.
