To market, to market to buy a fat pig; home again, home again, jiggity jig. Member that one??? I am off to Quilt Market on Friday for the major buying trip of the year. Looking for all new fabrics, patterns and other items I can offer you on line and at quilt shows. All the fabric distributors will be there from Marcus Brothers to David Textiles; the patterns companies will have new patterns just released; new notions, books and everything quilt related.

I get to Houston, that's where Market is, Friday late afternoon. First there is Sample Spree with samples and fabric packs to tempt everyone. A big mad house of hundreds of shop owners crammed in a room, elbow to elbow. It's more like a department store major sale on loads of merchandise housed in a closet. Saturday is spent covering only 1/2 of the Convention floor. Sunday the second half is covered. What I would give for roller skates! Last minute orders, one last run through, I'm done. By now the feet have decided the head has lost it's senses---they are tired, sore and just don't want to take one more step. Won't even mention the pocket book. The show is from 9-6 daily. Monday morning, it is packing and off to the airport for home. Products usually start arriving in a week or two and continue through the Spring. What fun!!!

A Christmas hop starts in November. Look for the bunny on the home page for info.

One last show for the year is in Palmdale, CA on November 12 and 13. High Desert Quilters will hold their show at the Chimbole Cultural Center. This will be our first time attending. Hope to see you there. It starts at noon on the 12th. Might have some new things by then.
