Christmas is right around the corner. I came up with an idea to make cloth bags with tassels as wrappings for some items. The recipient can then use the bag for shoes in suitcases, was my first thought. I had gone to my class reunion in October and needed to take an alternate pair of shoes so made a coordinating velvet shoe bag to tote the extra pair in. Next, this year my adult son requested boxer shorts. Been making them for years for him. He loves them and never knows what prints he might be wearing. I then had an after thought and made another pair out of fleece with a matching neck scarf in the NFL team he is overly fond of. I think the best part was the fleece pillow that was made out of the left over's, fringing the edges and leaving one end open so I could stuff it with the shorts. I figure after he takes the shorts out he can really turn it into a pillow or us it in the truck to carry stuff. Of course nothing is in Christmas wrap this year so the tree area looks a little odd but it was fun.
